Does Install of Draw Tite Hitch on 2018 Kia Optima Require Using Hitch as Exhaust Hanger
Question:
Does the 24965 also require the muffler rubber bumper be attached to the hitch rather than the factory muffler hanger bracket on the frame? I have the 24940 and the muffler support attaches to the hitch and the exaust pipe is hanging lower than it was by about 3/4 inch.

When installed the Draw Tite hitch part # 24965 does move the exhaust hanger bracket to the hitch instead of the factory bracket.
Your hanger may need to be adjusted slightly if it's hanging lower. If you had a shop install the hitch I'd recommend having them move the hanger or you can bend it up slightly or go with a different size hanger to make up the difference in height.
