Landing Gear Legs Click While Trailer is Lifted

Question:

When I put landinding legs down and pressure is used to raise trailer clicking starts. Could this be the gear box or the landing gears themselves. There is no licking when raising legs

There is a resistance clutch in the motor on your landing gear set. The clutch is likely what is causing the clicking you are hearing. This is not something you should normally hear, and may be caused by several things, such as worn out gears causing the clutch to slip, the motor wearing out, or too heavy of a load being placed on the motor.

Replacing the gears will be the first step in solving your issue. If the gears seem damaged at all, it is best to replace them first. If you can let me know what landing gear set you have I would be happy to see if replacement parts are available.
