Ground Clearance & Angle of Curt Front Mounted Hitch on 2010 Chevy Silverado Super Duty

Question:

Good Morning, 1. For the Curt front receiver hitch #31109, what is the distance from the bottom of the 2x2inch receiver opening to the ground? 2. Does the receiver sit flush? For instance if I a cargo hauler will it be level or angled down toward the ground? Im just trying to get an idea of ground clearance. 2010 Chevrolet Silverado Thank you

For your 2010 Chevy Silverado Super Duty truck, the Curt Front Mounted Trailer Hitch Receiver # 31109 is a confirmed fit. The ground clearance will be dependent on your wheel size and your suspension. I reached out to my tech contact at Curt and confirmed this hitch will be right up against the bumper, so if you measure from the bottom of your bumper 2-3/4 inches, that will be your ground clearance with this hitch.

The receiver will sit level as long as your truck frame is level. You can absolutely use a cargo carrier on this front mounted hitch, as long as you account for the ground clearance as you mentioned and the tongue weight capacity of your hitch and carrier.
