Recommendation to Transport Bikes with 2017 Ram ProMaster Camper Conversion

I have a 2017 dodge promaster 2500 van that I have converted into a camper van. Im incredibly interested in your ladder mount bike racks but would like to know what ladder is recommended for the rack and my van? Some direction in making the correct purchase would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

We do have a nice selection of ladder-mount bike racks available, however I am not sure we have a ladder itself that will work on your 2017 Ram Promaster. The RV ladders we have available will likely interfere with the rear doors or side sliding doors on your newly converted camper.

A better option to transport your bikes might be with a hitch-mounted carrier like the excellent Saris Freedom Bike Rack 2-Bike Platform Rack # SA4412B-R. This is a heavy-duty rack that will let you secure 2 bikes of up to 60 pounds each when used with a class 2 or class 3 hitch. It features a versatile design that will fit bikes of most frame sizes and styles.

If you do not yet have a trailer hitch installed on the van, I recommend looking at the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13295, which is confirmed to fit the 2017 Ram Promaster 2500. I have attached an installation video that you can use for reference.

The 7290 that you see is a casting number. It is found on AL-KO hubs that fit #99 spindles. I found that the bearings used are #28580 which would be the inner bearing and #25580 which would be the outer bearing. For the seal use #91030.
