Advent Air Replacement Air Conditioner Installation
Question:
Installed new Atwood, looks level inside, but looks like the front is lower than the rear outside. The gasket is compressed halfway as per instructions. Shouldnt it be level? If so how do I even it out. The bottom seem to be touching in the rear?

Helpful Expert Reply:
If your replacement air conditioner installation followed the manufacturer's instructions there is not necessarily an issue with the unit being not quite dead-level. Keep in mind that trailers will vary in their stance - how level the overall trailer is when towed and when parked at a campsite.
Was the actual mounting surface on the RV level? Are the fasteners possibly over-tightened on one side?
If the unit functions properly, and without leaks, odd noises or other symptoms then you should be fine with the install as is. For your safety be sure the unit's electrical installation follows the manufacturer instructions.
