Recommended Sidewinder & 5th Wheel Hitch For 2017 Ram Mega Cab and 2015 Forest River Vengeance 320A

I have the 2017 Mega cab 64inch bed, I just bought. I have a 2015 Vengeance 320A Super Sport model. i am making myself sick looking at different options, articles, you tube videos, you name it! i am not looking to do a 90 turn at anytime due to the stress it puts on the trailer and would not allow myself to get in that position. But i would like to have piece of mind to maneuver my trailer without hitting the cab. From everything i have been reading it does not appear that its possible with any configuration of hitch or pin box. Can you give me any advise? Is there a solution? Or is this something I am just going to have to deal with? I am willing to invest the money to a point to have that piece of mind, but I aint rich either. it really is driving me crazy. Any ideas would be so helpful!! I have the Lippert pin box 1621HD on my trailer. Thanks

For your 2015 Forest River Vengeance 320A Super Sport model and your 2017 Ram Mega Cab with 64 inch bed, I have the solution you are seeking to ease your mind.

Let's start from the beginning with rails and a hitch. If you have the factory rails, then I recommend the Reese M5 5th Wheel Hitch # RP30918. If you don't have the factory pucks, then I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50054-58 to give you the above bed rails and then use the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30928. I also recommend the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector # C56000 to give you a 7-way connection in the bed of your truck for easy connection.

For your pin box, you will want a Sidewinder. This will move the pivot point of your trailer back 22 inches to allow you the turning clearance you desire. I've also attached an article to assist. The rotating turret will bolt to your trailer where your pin box was to replace it. For your Lippert 1621HD, I recommend the Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret - 16,000 lbs # RP34FR or the air shock option of the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000 lbs # RP61422 to greatly reduce jarring and chucking. There is a custom wedge for these Sidewinders with the # RP44FR.
