Parts Needed to Install 7-Way on 2005 Ford Expedition with 4-Way
Question:
2005 Ford Expedition. Hi. This has a hitch with 4 way flat plug that the harness attached forward of the axle. It appears factory to me. It has trailer brake connector under dash. I need to install a 7 pin RV type trailer plug. Do you have a harness for this?

What you need is the part # 37185 which plugs into your 4-way and gives your 2005 Ford Expedition a functional 7-way.
If you need to activate the brakes of a trailer or the 12 volt accessory circuit you will then need to connect the blue wire of the adapter (brake output) and the black wire (12 volt) to the wires on the vehicles frame rail like what you see in the picture I attached.
To install a controller you would need the part # 3035-P to connect to the port under the dash of your vehicle.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller part # 90195. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes. This will be the last brake controller you buy. It can easily be transferred to future vehicles as well.
