Available Thule 2- or 4-Bike Platform Style Hitch-Mount Bike Carriers for 2010 Honda Odyssey
Question:
Can the Thule TH9054 accept an extension to make it a four bike carrier?

Expert Reply:
The Thule Doubletrack Pro XT Bike Rack # TH92BJ cannot accept an add-on extension to give it more capacity. The reason is that this rack is designed for flexibility; it will fit in both smaller lighter-duty 1-1/4-inch hitches as well as higher-capacity 2-inch hitches. This means that the smaller 1-1/4-inch shank would not have the strength needed to handle the weight of 4 bikes.
Thule does offer a rack with the same 2- or 4-bike capacity, their T2 Pro XTR rack # TH69TX and this does of course require a 2-inch hitch on your Odyssey. The 2-inch hitch I suggest for your vehicle (if it does not already have this size installed) is the Draw-Tite # 75270.
