Recommended Trailer Battery Charging and Controller for 80 AH Battery
Question:
Can you recommend a 12v-12v charge controller for a 80 amp hour AGM battery that I can use to charge my trailer battery from my tow vehicle?

To run a charge wire from your tow vehicle to your trailer battery, you will want to use 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1 along with a 40 amp circuit breaker # 9510 and run that wire to your 1 o'clock trailer connection pin on your bumper connection.
Then you will want to make sure your trailer 7-way also has a wire running to the trailer battery positive terminal that has a diode like the Roadmaster Single Park Light Diode # RM-690 to prevent back feeding power.
This combination will give you a maintenance charge on your trailer battery, but you will still want to use a battery charger/maintainer like the NOCO Genius Mini # 329-GENIUS5 when you are not towing to ensure your battery is charged properly for a trip.
