If you are looking to replace the axles on your 2002 Keystone Hornet Trailer, you will first want to take a couple measurements on your existing units. You will start by measuring the distance from one hub face to the other. You will also want to measure from the center of one spring seat to the center of the other. I have included an image that clarifies these dimensions.
Lastly, you will need to determine the axle capacity on the trailer to ensure you are maintaining the trailer's overall capacity. This information should be printed on a plate located on the axle itself.
For example, the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam # T3584F-EZ-8974 has a 3,500 pound weight capacity. It has a hub-face-to-hub-face length of 89 inches and a spring-center-to-spring-center length of 74 inches.
