Options for 7-Way Wiring For Truck Bed Camper Shell to Allow Longer Wiring Solution
Question:
Regarding product Code: 41157. I have a truck camper, and need to mount a 7-way outlet in my truck bed to plug the camper in. The trick is, the cord on the camper isnt very long about 2, and its at the front of the camper, drivers side. Measuring with a tape measure from the factory connector at the back of the truck, going around the spare tire and then along the drivers side of the bed, it looks like I might need a 12foot cable to do this. 10foot like the product mentioned above is the longest I see. My only other thought is to try to fish the cable along a more direct route to shorten the run. My questions are: 1 Are you aware of any extension I might be able to get if 10foot is not quite enough? 2 Is this 10foot cable really 10, or is it a little bit longer or shorter i.e. do you think it might have a chance of fitting for me? 3 If I get it and its too short, what options do I have?

Expert Reply:
10 feet is the longest 5th wheel style of 7-way harness that we offer. If you can find a more direct route to get it up to the front of your truck bed that would be ideal.
Otherwise we do have 7-way extensions you could use on the camper like # TLW6021 which is 21 inches or the part # TLW6048 which is 48 inches long.
