How To Power Third Brake Light On Camper Shell Using 7-Way Trailer Connector  

Question:

I have a Nissan Titan 2015 and just picked up a used leer cap for it. Is there anyway to wire the third brake light with out splicing? D hey make some type of connector.....I have a 7 pin trailer tow package can I use that ....if not what would be the easiest and best way to do this

Yes, you can use the factory trailer connector on your 2015 Nissan Titan to power the third brake light on your Leer camper shell. That said, they don't make a plug and play harness for this so you will need to do some wiring but no splicing into the vehicle will be required. Basically, all you need is the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module part # PP20-702, the Pollak Black Plastic RV-Style Trailer Connector part # PK12706 and then some loose wire and connectors to attach it all together. The logic module will feed into the right or left stop/turn pin on the connector and then you run the output to the third brake light. It will also need to be grounded as with the connector but the other slots will remain blank.

Hello Conner. I was doing some research and saw this post. Well this work for a 2017 Ram 3500 with a 7 pin tow package? I am thinking that it will but I wanted to be sure to ask first.
