Most likely what you would need is the part # 30717. This has a 4-way on one side of the connector that would get plugged into your Explorer and 7-way connector on the other side for connecting to your trailer. This 7-way is a 7-way blade style connector which is different from a 7-way round, but since the overall shape of the connector is round the terms get confused frequently.

Since a 7-way round is typically found on heavy duty trailers, and RV style trailer almost always have a 7-way blade connector this adapter would be the correct one to use. Check out the picture I attached that shows the two different styles.

I have a nissan murano installed with T-connector (part # 118653). I also have a trailer with a 7 pin plug. Will this adapter (#30717) works with my T-connector that will allow me to charge the trailer's battery while towing? What color wire will be the one? Thanks.

The Wiring Adapter # 30717 will work to convert the existing 4-Way from your Tekonsha Harness # 118653 to a 7-Way so you can connect to the trailer. Just the connection by itself though will still only power the trailer's signal lights. To activate the 12V pin on the 7-Way (for battery charging) you'll need to manually run the black wire up to the battery. If you plan on doing this, I actually recommend using the Wiring Kit # ETBC7L instead. This includes the same type of adapter along with the additional wiring needed to activate this circuit.
