Parts Needed to Install Brake Controller in 2015 Toyota Tacoma Without Towing Package
Question:
Can you tell me what parts I need to install a brake controller? Plug and play preferred. I already have the 4 pin plug/play wiring and need to convert to 7 pin, but still have 4 pin functional for another trailer

In order to install a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 or Primus IQ # TK90160 in a 2015 Toyota Tacoma, there are a couple of items you'll need, though without the factory towing package it's not going to be plug and play.
The first item you'll need is a wiring harness with 4-way connector such as # 118496, but if you already have that the other part you'll need is the # ETBC7 Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller. This kit will give you everything you need to install your brake controller.
I've added a link to a video showing an install of the # ETBC7 as well as a link to a video showing 4-way harness # 118496 being installed. I've also added links to a few help articles on brake controllers and wiring which you may find useful.
