Taillight Converter # 118158 Recommendation for Towing a 3 Wire Trailer with a 2 Wire Dodge Ram
Question:
I need a device like this one 119178KIT except I need to use it to convert a 2 wire system on a Dodge Ram to a 3 wire system on the trailer. Can this unit be used in reverse so that if my truck has 2 wires LH and RH Blinkers and the same 2 wires for the brakes splice them into the trailer side of 119178KIT so that the output would be a 3 wire system where the brake lights would come on only when 119178KIT received a LH AND RH signal?

You would want to use a Vehicle to Vehicle Taillight Converter, part # 11858. This product is designed to take a 2 wire system like what is on your Dodge Ram and convert it to operate the tail lights of a trailer that has a 3 wire system.
The # 119178KIT would not work in reverse and would not be the right product for what you are trying to accomplish.
