Adding a 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2000 Ford Excursion
Question:
Will this work on a 2000 Ford excursion 6.8 4x4 ?

The Curt trailer wiring harness # C55243 doesn't fit but I can recommend the parts to add a 7-Way trailer connector to your 2000 Ford Excursion.
First, if the Excursion has a 4-Way flat connector now then you will just need # ETBC7 to add the 7-Way, keep the 4-Way, and have the wiring and accessories to wiring in a brake controller.
If your Excursion does not have any trailer connector at all then you will first need to install a 4-Way using # 118344 and then you can install the ETBC7. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
If you do want a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
