Do I Need A Heavy Duty Flasher To Install A Wiring Harness On A 2004 Ford Escape
Question:
Thanks for answering my Question Conner L .... I have one more Question... Do i have to use a Heavy Duty Flasher with Wiring Harness #119178 or #HM48925 on my 2004 ford escape which came without tow package or just the wiring harness itself...... Thank You.

Neither the Hopkins Tail Light Converter Kit with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # HM48925 or the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 119178 will require you to use a heavy duty flasher while towing with your 2004 Ford Escape with or without the factory tow package. Each of the lighting circuits on the wiring harness has a 2.1 amp max draw, therefore this is not problematic for your factory wiring circuit.
I will say that it will not hurt the vehicle or wiring harness should you decide to use a heavy duty flasher, however, as previously stated, it is not required.
