Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2018 Honda Odyssey with Easiest Installation
Question:
I see from some of the questions that both the C64NR and e98855 hitches will fit the 2018 Odyssey. I dont mind that the crossbar will show with the e98855 hitch. Would you say that the e98855 hitch is quicker and easier to install. Im thinking that there would be less to cut and trim or maybe nothing to cut and trim from the plastic bumper covering with the e98855 hitch. Am I right? Thank you.

For your 2018 Honda Odyssey, I definitely recommend going with the etrailer Class III Round Tube Hitch # e98855. This particular trailer hitch has an estimated installation time for somebody with some experience of around 30 minutes. We rate the installation difficulty at a 3 out of 10, meaning it is a fairly simple process if you are comfortable with car maintenance. Some minor trimming of the underbody panel will be required, and you will need to temporarily lower the exhaust during installation.
This is a Class III Trailer Hitch that will provide a 2 inch receiver opening and a tongue weight capacity of 525 pounds.
The Curt #C64NR, which is also confirmed to fit your vehicle, has an estimated installation time of 2 hours. We actually have this marked as a 10 out of 10 for the difficulty level. On this model, fascia removal and trimming is required as well as lowering the exhaust.
