How can I convert the factory installed 4-way trailer connector to a 7-way trailer connector? I have a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder The trailer has electronic brakes. Please advise. Thanks

In order to add a 7-Way trailer connector to your 2008 Nissan Pathfinder you will need a 4 and 7 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. This will provide a 7-Way trailer connector at the back of the vehicle and all of the wiring to install a brake controller. A brake controller is needed in order to activate the trailer brakes.
For a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, # 90885. It is one of our most popular models because it is easy to set up and easy to use. I have included a link to the installation details for reference. I have also included links to FAQ articles explaining the installation of an ETBC7 kit as well as a link to a video showing a typical installation.
