How To Improve The Suspension On Your 2017 Ford F-250

Question:

Just purchased a 2017 Ford F250 Super duty with the intentions of adding a slide-in overhead camper. Is Timbren the best way to go for added support and sway control? Thanks.

In order to gain the most stability and support for your 2017 Ford F250, you will want to install both support and sway control components.

The most economical way to add support to your truck is by using the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System part # TFR250SDJ. The Timbren springs are a good way to add additional support to your vehicle while towing or hauling a heavy load however, the best way to add support to your truck would involve installing air bags such as the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2600. The Timbren springs will only engage when the load is heavy enough to engage the springs whereas, the air bags can be adjusted to provide support at any time no matter the weight of the load.

The most effective way to add stability and sway control to your vehicle would involve installing or replacing your sway bar with a much stronger option such as the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar part # RM-1139-173 for trucks with a factory sway bar and part # RM-1139-173-00 for trucks without a factory sway bar. Whether you currently have or do not have a sway control bar in place, the Roadmaster bar will provide you with a smoother more controlled ride that will be needed when adding a truck bed camper to your vehicle.

I have attached a link to a review video of both the Timbren and Firestone systems for you.
