Is a Rear Sway Bar Required for Truck Bed Campers on a 2017 Ford F-250

Question:

I have a 2017 f250 short box I have a 2700 lb slide in camper, I will put timbrens on the rear. Will I need sway bars on the rear also or anything else to stablize the truck with camper?

Helpful Expert Reply:

Though not required, you will certainly reap some benefits from installing an upgraded rear sway bar like the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar and End Link Kit part # RM-1139-173-00 on the rear of your 2017 Ford F-250.

The Timbren springs you already have installed will do a good job of supporting the added weight but will not really do much for sway control. The added weight of the truck bed camper will affect your truck's ability to corner safety and installing the upgraded rear sway bar will help gain some of the loss stability back by actively working to minimize side-to-side movement and improve overall stability.

I have attached a review video of the sway bar kit for you.
