Hitch Recommendation For a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab With a Factory Installed Hitch
Question:
Will this fit on my 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 mega cab 6.7L truck if I unbolt and uninstall the factory installed mopar hitch?

You might want to check the hitch on your 2010 Dodge Ram 2500, but it is usually welded on to the frame of your vehicle. It would be very difficult to remove.
I would recommend the Curt Class V 2 Inch Hitch, part # C15409. This hitch has 17000 lbs towing weight capacity and 2550 lbs tongue weight capacity.
If you will be towing with the Curt hitch you will also need the Draw-Tite Ball Mount, part # 40331, the part # PC3 Pin and Clip, and the hitch ball. Depending on the coupler size of the trailer you will be towing you can use either the Curt 2 Inch Hitch Ball, part # A-90, or the Tow Ready 2-5/16 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19286.
If you have a factory tow package and need a 4-Way connector on your vehicle you will use the Tow Ready Wiring Harness, part # 118384. I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Tow Ready harness.
