Do Curt and Draw Tite Hitches for 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Hang at Same Height
Question:
I see that the Curt and the draw Tite both have receivers which are 9inch down. But it looks like the cross tube on the draw tite is higher up, tucked behind the factory hitch on a 2007 dodge 2500 longbed with the factory hitch. Am I seeing that correctly?

Expert Reply:
The crosstube of the Curt hitch part # C15409 does hang a bit lower but where the hitch opening is will be about the same as the Draw Tite # 41929. Reason being the hitch opening attaches to the bottom of the tube on this hitch. So in reality the hitch will hang about the same height as they are both designed to fit right under the factory hitch.
