Recommendation on an Adapter to Mount a 1-1/4 Inch Bike Rack on a 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver
Question:
After a few telephone calls and no calls returned, thought Id try this venue. I have a two bike Hitching bike rack 947 91947. Will this adapter work so I can use my 1 1/4inch rack in my 2inch hitch? Will I need anything else if so? I am confused how there will be no play in the rack as it set in as far. Thank you

I have a solution for you, however, the Thule Replacement 2 Inch Hitch Adapter, # 853-7489, is not compatible fit your Thule bike rack. This adapter is designed for the new 4 bike Thule Hitching Post
Bike Rack # TH934XTR.
I recommend using # HT02 Hitch Reducer 2 Inch to 1-1/4 Inch. This adapter will fit into your 2 inch receiver opening of your hitch and then your bike rack will slide in to the 1-1/4 opening in the adapter.
