Recommended Adapter for Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack
Question:
Hi, I have a Thule Hitching Post Pro Model 935 bike rack. I have a 2inch factory-installed receiver on my 2015 Toyota Highlander. This adapter visually appears to be the right thing, with a presumably 3/8inch diameter set screw to hold the adapter to the rack, and a 5/8inch diameter pin to hold the adapter to the 2inch receiver. Can you confirm? Or is there another adapter that I need instead? Thanks!

I spoke with my contact at Thule and she said that the discontinued Hitching Post Pro Model 935 was not designed for use with an adapter so it is not compatible with part # 853-7489.
I would recommend the Hitch Reducer 2 inch to 1-1/4 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # HT02. This adapter slips into your 2 inch receiver and includes the pin and clip. I linked you to a product review of this adapter.
