Recommended Sway Control For 28 Foot Trailer With Single Friction Bar
Question:
I have a 28 foot trailer i jave a sway bar on and the sway is still uncontrolable. Is there a problem with the trailer axles that could.cause this? Ive tried everything loaded unloaded mothing matters i have a 2016 ram 1500 with tow package

For a trailer over 26 feet long, it is recommended to use 2 friction sway bars like the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit - Economy - by Draw-Tite, Reese and Hidden Hitch # 83660. I've attached an article that helps gives more information on this. To add a second friction sway control, you will need to use the Sway Control Tab (Weld On) # 3442.
You may want to consider using a weight distribution system with integrated sway control for a trailer this big. If you want to get a recommendation, I need to know the year, make, and model of your travel trailer.
