For your 2003 Ford E-150 Van, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75703. This trailer hitch receiver is a round-tube design with a black powdercoat finish over an e-coat base for superior rust protection. It is an easy bolt on installation.
If you will be using this trailer hitch for towing, I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500 lbs # 989900. This kit will give you two ball mount/draw bars with different rise and drop alsong with two different size hitch ball options for towing. This kit includes the pin and clip as well as a ball mount bag for storage.
For trailer wiring, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118344. This will connect directly to your factory wiring without any cutting or splicing. It will connect behind the two tail lights of your vehicle into the quick connectors. This will give you a 4-way flat connection for a trailer or lighted accessory.
