Platform Bike Rack Recommendation for 2017 Chevy Volt
Question:
I appreciate the quick response to my question about hitch rack on my 2017 Volt, but you brought up concern for the weight on rack and suggested a couple racks that weigh 12.5 pounds. I do not want a rack that the bikes hang. I was hoping to get something like Thule T2 or Thule Doubletrack, but they weigh 50 pounds without bikes, so Im afraid I may not be able to use these on Volt. Trying to find more info..

Most of the time platform bike racks can be a bit heavy but we do have one great solution. The Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY94FR which only weighs 20 lbs, can carry up to 35 lbs per bike, and can also fit the Class I 1-1/4 inch hitches available for your 2017 Chevy Volt.
The best hitch to use would be the Curt part # C11436.
