Compatibility of Aftermarket Hitches with 2017 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited
Question:
Hello from NJ. I am anticipating getting a new 2017 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited. Your site directs me with these specifications to a Curt Trailer Hitch but most of the content seems directed to models 2016 or earlier. I suspect that not much has changed underneath the vehicle but wanted to be sure that this is still the relevant product for my vehicle. Also, I know that the hybrid variety is engineered differently than gas so this was a concern of mine as well. Any guidance or help you can provide would be great.

Expert Reply:
Curt Manufacturing has confirmed that their 2-inch Class III hitch # C13394 fits on the hybrid version of the 2017 Toyota Highlander and is a no-drill install. We had the chance to install one on a 2015 Highlander and the video link provided will let you see that entire process. We just have not yet had a local owner of the 2017 hybrid come in for hitch installation. Do note that if you Highlander will come with a full-size spare tire, it will work with this hitch as long as it is not on the aluminum rim.
