Overall Height of Ultra Fab Skid Wheels # UF48-979012
Question:
I am buying a new RV Nexus Viper 29V 308inch It is a B+ Fancy C Motorhome. The Hitch is only 9inch from the bottom of hitch to the ground with about 2 inch drag Vs welded to the bottom of that. I am trying to get them Nexus to re weld the hitch, HIGHER. What is the total height of these 5inch wheels and where it swivels weld points?? Would it be better to weld to the frame or is okay to weld them to the ends of the hitch? The RV uses a E450 Ford Chassis. Would Air Lift, Air bags help to raise it a few inches? I havent bought it yet. I am one of your customers.

The distance the Ultra Fab Skid Wheels # UF48-979012 will hang below the frame will be 6-7/16 inches. I do not recommend attaching them to the hitch. Doing so could actually compromise the structural integrity of the hitch and would likely void its warranty. The frame is the ideal location for wheels like these.
In general adding air bags will not increase the ride height of the vehicle. Sometimes they can by putting as much air in the bags as they can safely hold but then that will make the ride stiff. If ground clearance becomes an issue there may be a lift kit for that particular RV and van chassis.
