The correct trailer hitch for your 2011 Chevrolet Volt is the Curt # C11221. This hitch receiver is a Class I and has a gross trailer weight of 1,000 pounds and a tongue weight of 100 pounds.
If you also need trailer wiring the correct harness for your Volt is # C59496. For a ball mount # C45521 and for a hitch ball either # A-82 for a 2 inch or # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch. Finally, # F-4 for a pin and clip.
