Yes, the diode kit # RM-15267 is confirmed to fit your 2016 Lincoln MKX.

Depending on how handy you are I'd say the installation is between 4-6 hours. I did attach an installation video on a 2015 Jeep Cherokee which won't be exactly the same as your Lincoln but it will be the same basic process.
