Clearance Dimensions From Demco Autoslide To Front Of Truckbed And To Tailgate On 2016 Ford F-350
Question:
What is the clearance distance from the cab of a short bed F350 2016 to the mount of the DM8550024 and also the distance from the tailgate? I need about 22 inches in front and behind for mounting aux fuel tank and fifth wheel tool box. Thanks

There are a couple measurements you can take to determine how much clearance you will have for the tank and tool box you want to use in your truck bed.
I have attached a photo of the # DM8550024 and have some dimensions noted from the center of the mounting bracket on the hitch. It measures approximately 10-inches from the centerline of the bracket to the front of the hitch nearest the cab of the truck and 25-inches from the centerline to the back of the hitch nearest the tailgate.
Measure from the center point between the pucks in your truck bed to the back of the cab and subtract 10-inches. That will give you the clearance form the hitch to the cab of your truck.
Them measure from the centerline between the pucks to the tailgate and subtract 25-inches. That gives you the clearance to the tailgate. If those measurements are greater than the distance you need for your aux tank and tool box then the Demco Autoslide, part # DM8550024 should work great for you.
