How to Select Hitch Height for Demco Hijacker 18k Fifth Wheel Hitch

i am installing a hijacker 18k autoslider into a 2017 f 250 4wd 6 3/4 box. not sure what height to set it up at. can you give me some clue? also do you know where i can find instructions to build the hitch?

Basically the height setting is based on the what's going to allow your trailer to be towed level. What you can do is measure from the plate of the pin box down to the ground when the trailer is level and then compare that to the distance from the ground to the top of your truck bed floor. That's going to be the height to start with for the Demco Hijacker 18k # DM8550024 which has a height range of 15-1/2", 16-3/4", and 18-1/4".
