Height of L-Bracket On Side of Demco Hijacker Hitch part # DM8550024

Question:

I have a 2015 Ford F-250 with a 6-3/4foot bed. I have the ford factory puck system and am looking for an auto slide with the most clearance from the cab to the puck closest to the cab. I would like to be able to keep the truck box installed and use the fifth wheel hitch. From the pictures, this hitch has the best clearance. The handle is small and nothing appears to stick out behind the puck except the side rails that you bolt on for the puck system. With that said, I am not sure how high the rails are or how far they stick out but I think they will fit under the truck box as long as I can get them under the truck box until the hitch s into the puck system. The clearance between the bed and the truck box is 8-1/2. The front of the truck box comes up to the pucks. Just shy of the plastic outer rings. Do you think this slider will work? I assume the pin sits above the larger goose neck puck. Thanks!!!

I spoke to my contact at Demco and he informed me that the height of the L-bracket on the side of the Demco Hijacker Hitch part # DM8550024 that you referenced is 6 inches.

Since you have 8-1/2 inches from the bottom of the truck bed to the bottom of the toolbox it should fit.
