Underbed Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 without Rail Kit
Question:
I have a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 HD with 8foot bed. How do I know if I already have factory rail kit? I do notice frame holes that are threaded in the rear wheel wells and there are 5 dimples in the bed over the rear axle I am assuming are for 5th wheel hitch.

If you had the factory rail kit in your 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 there would be holes or pucks in the bed of your truck where you see the dimples in the bed. Those dimples are there on all of the truck beds but for the models with the Rail Kit they would be cut out.
If you wanted to go with a similar style of underbed fifth wheel hitch setup for your truck the Reese M5 hitch part # RP30921 would be an excellent option. And then for the underbed rail kit you would want the part # RP30868 which is confirmed as a fit for your truck.
