Distance From Center of Curt X5 Fifth Wheel Adapter 16310 To Edge of Rail
Question:
I have a box in the bed of my short box chevy and would like to know if this will clear it I have approx 15 in from the center of my goosneck adapter to the box.

The shaft that fits in the gooseneck hitch on the Curt X5 adapter, # 16310, is centered between the two 5th wheel rails. If you were to measure from the center of that shaft to the rear edge of the back rail or to the front edge of the front rail it would be approximately 14 inches.
You obviously have a truck bed that is shorter than 6 feet. Most likely there isn't going to be a fifth wheel hitch that's going to give you the needed clearance to make tight turns.
