5th Wheel Hitch Will Not Line Up With Adapter for B&W Gooseneck
Question:
I have a turn over ball bandw on my new truck, I bought the bandw goose neck to 5th wheel rails adapter. When I tried to reinstall my 5th wheel hitch it was wider rails than my previous. The foot of the 5th wheel hitch wont sit on the rails... My 5th wheel hitch is a bandw also older one.

I do have an option for you but I am not sure that you have a B&W 5th Wheel Hitch as they only offer one mounting option for industry standard rails, the B&W Patriot which is not that old and this would have no problem installing onto either the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter part # 16310 or the Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitches part # DM6140 if done so correctly.
I think the hitch you have does not use industry standard mounting holes if it will not fit in either of the above adapters and if that is the case then you will have no option but to replace this with one that will, the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30047 is a good cost effective choice for this.
If you can send me some photos of your 5th wheel hitch and what rail adapter you are using I may have other advice for you.
