Will Trailer Side to Side Movement Raise the Rails on the CURT X5 Adapter and Damage the Truck Bed
Question:
will the movement of the 5th wheel from sisde to side lift the rails from side to side with it and damage then bend the inside of the bed.

It is unlikely that the movement of the 5th wheel trailer would be able to move the rails to such a degree as to damage the truck bed. The rails on the CURT X5 Fifth Wheel Adapter, # 16310, are not like regular rails. They have extra steel on the bottoms to create more surface area contact.
This spreads the weight and pressure to a larger area. Combine that with the downward weight of the hitch and trailer and the fact that the adapter is pinned, and it is very improbable there will be damage to the truck bed. I have included a link to the installation details for you.
