Should the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller Display Numbers When Braking

Is there supposed to be a number showing on the screen when we brake? All we see is .c..

Yes, the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 should display a number when pressing on the brake pedal.
Since the controller is recognizing that a trailer is connected but not recognizing that you're applying the brakes you will need to use a circuit tester like, # PTW2993, to test the wires at the back of the brake controller, specifically the red wire. It sounds like the red wire may not be connected to the correct vehicle wire and therefore the brake controller does not receive a signal of the brakes being applied.
