Replacement Trailer Brake Assemblies for 2007 T@B 16 CS Camper

Question:

I have a 2007 T@B 16 CS camper with alko axle and brakes. The Alko brake shoe part number is 1213888. I am having trouble finding brake shoes. Will your 7inch brake shoes fit my axle ? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a solution for you, but unfortunately we do not have any brake shoes that are designed to fit AL-KO brake assemblies. Brake shoes are specific to the manufacuter's brake assembly, so unfortunately I cannot guarantee our Replacement Shoe and Lining # AKBRKR-S-7 will work for you.

Rather than just replacing the brake shoe and lining, I recommend replacing the entire brake assembly. While the entire assembly does cost a bit more than only the shoe and lining, it will save you the frustration of changing out components on your existing brake assemblies.

If your trailer uses 7 inch brake assemblies, you will just need to know if the assembly needs to be 1-1/4 inch or 1-1/2 inch thick. You can measure your brake drum to determine the size of the assembly needed.

If you need 7 inch x 1-1/4 inch brake assemblies, I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Assembly, Right hand # AKEBRK-2R and Left Hand # AKEBRK-2L. These brake assemblies are designed to fit with 2,000 pound axles.

If your trailer's hubs use larger brake assemblies, feel free to let me know the diameter and the width, along with the axle rating and I will be happy to make a better brake assembly recommendation for you.
