Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Toyota RAV4 to Clear Rear Bumper/Spare
Question:
I need a trailer hitch for my 2012 Rav4. I have a tule bike rack and I need it to clear the rear tire. Will I need an extention? thank you

The trailer hitch you would want for your 2012 Toyota RAV4 is the Curt part # C13149 as it has the best clearance in relation to the spare. When this hitch is installed it will give you 5-1/2 inches from the center of it's hitch pin hole out to the furthest point out on the rear bumper. The other available hitches have a larger distance here.
Most Thule racks would have no problem clearing a 5-1/2 inch bumper but you would need to measure your rack first to be sure.
