Timbren Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for Bottoming Out Trailer

Question:

I have a 2006 20foot Carson Funrunner toyhauler with two 3500# axles that frequently hit the frame. Would like to add just a couple inches to prevent contact, but not the 5 or so that would result from converting the above spring mount to an axle-below-spring mount. Might you have plates or blocks to bolt into existing spring hangers that would allow springs to then mount 2inch or so lower? Loaded trailer weighed 7120#s, so allowing for hitch load, were Maxd out. I am hesitant to get custom springs for added lift due to potential difficulties for roadside replacement in event of spring failure. Would going to heavier springs increase axle to frame clearance?

I would recommend the part # TTRA1702 for your trailer as it will provide you with additional suspension support so that your suspension stops bottoming out harshly and would not raise the suspension. Since your trailer is a tandem you would need two of these kits.

That being said I have to recommend you lighten up the load you carry with your trailer as you are exceeding the axle capacity and could potentially damage things or hurt another driver. This is actually the root of your problem.
