Will the Curt Hitch # 13328 Fit on a Acura MDX 2004/2005 with Full Size Spare & PDC
Question:
For installation on 2004 or 2005 Acura MDX I forget the exact model I have, I understand that it will fit with a full size spare. However, for some models, some rear fascia needs to be trimmed. Do you know if trimming is required for the above models? Also, I have Park Distance Control PDC installed. Does the removal of the bumper and installtion of this hitch interfere with any wiring or operation of the park distance control obviously without anything tied to the hitch? I.e. does the installation and mounting of at the bumper beam interfere with any wiring that may exist for the PDC? I assume that the bumper can be put back completely and PDC will be fully functional.

The Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, item # 13328, will fit on both the 2004 and the 2005 models of the Acura MDX. The note about fascia trimming concerns an extra fascia piece that may be installed on some vehicles. If your vehicle rear end looks like the ones in the videos (linked below) no fascia trimming will be needed. The factory sized spare tire will be lowered for installation and reinstalled after installation is complete.
I have not seen the park distance control you are referring to. If the park distance control uses or covers the weld nuts used for installing the trailer hitch, either in the center of the vehicle at the most forward part of the bumper or on the frame at the sides, or hangs under the bumper in any way then the hitch may not work on your vehicle. You will need to check the wire routing and mounting of the PDC to determine if there will be any interference.
Some items you may need with the Class III hitch are listed below.
Wiring # 118336
Drawbar # C45010
Hitch Ball # 19260 or # 19247
Hitch Lock Kit # e99039
