The Equal-I-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET that you referenced can remain installed on the trailer while you back your trailer up. Ideally, with the system installed you will not need to make sharp turns while backing.
I recommend removing the spring bars if you need to back your trailer into a tight space. Creating a sharp angle while backing with the weight distribution system hooked up will put unnecessary stress on the spring bar arms. Removing the spring bars while you back up will help best protect your Equal-I-zer weight distribution system.
