How Far Forward in Truck Bed Should the Curt X5 Adapter Sit When Installed
Question:
I just purchased the x5 adapter for my 2010 dodge ram 2500 crew cab that already has the bandw turnover ball installed. My question is it seems to sit very far forward and is this going to work for me?

The center of the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter # 16310 should be centered right above the ball hole on the Turnoverball hitch. The ball hole should be centered above the rear axle or possibly a couple inches forward as long as it was installed correctly.
That being said having it sit further forward would be much better than sitting too far back as that is actually dangerous since the front end of the truck would be unweighted.
If you wanted to send me pictures of the setup I can take a look and see if it looks okay.
