Can Curt X5 Adapter be Used with Automatic Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch
Question:
I have a 2016 Chevy 2500 HD with the curt double lock gooseneck. Can I use this adapter with a auto glide 5th wheel hitch?

The Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter # C16210 cannot be used with any automatic sliding fifth wheel hitches since those hitches attach to the pin box and rotate as the trailer turns.
You'd need to use a manual slider like the Reese 20k Slider part # RP30083. This has a round tube slider on it which will slide easier than a square tube and has a jaw design that holds the king pin tightly which allows for a very smooth and quiet ride quality.
