Bike Rack for Use with 2015 F-150 Towing Tear Drop Travel Trailer
Question:
I am looking for a bike rack to use with a 2015 F150 while towing a T@B CS-S Max RV. Will the Swagman Traveler XCS S64664 work? We cant attach anything to the back of the RV as it is a clamshell model. Also, our bikes are step through models. Do the hooks lower enough to hook to the bike? Thank you.

A towing-style bike rack like the Swagman Traveler XCS # S64664 slips over your ball mount and sits between the truck bumper and the nose of the trailer. A rack like this is suitable as long as you have plenty of turning clearance between the vehicle and trailer. The width of your bikes come into play here too. Sometimes an extra-long ball mount like # C45270 will be needed to provide enough clearance for turns.
There are other options for bike transport that might be better. If you have room in your bed you could install simple cost-effective fork-mount carriers like # HRT970 or # S64702. All options of this type are linked for you.
Another way you could go is to install a front-mount hitch like # C31083 and use a standard 2-inch hitch rack like one of those shown on the linked page, such as the # S63381.
For using any bike that lacks a horizontal top frame tube on a hanging or platform style rack you can simply add a bike adapter bar like the Kuat Ubar # UB01 to provide a stable mounting surface to allow proper installation on a bike carrier.
