How Does the Thule Stacker Hold 4 Kayaks

The product description says it will accommodate up to 4 kayaks. Could I see this in an example?

We have just the one kayak for demo purposes but basically with the Thule Stacker # TH830 you would have 2 kayaks on their sides on each side of the uprights. I have included a picture out of the instructions to illustrate this.

Additional tie downs will be needed, # 853-5466 and # 753-2030-02.

I have an 04 Toyota Sienna with the original roof rack that does have cross bars. I have two sit-on-top kayaks that are about 28" wide. Would the Stacker work with this? Would I need to get more specialized crossbars?

As long as the factory roof rack features a sufficient weight capacity for your two kayaks (check your owner's manual) they will work just fine to mount the Thule Stacker # TH830.

Yes, the Thule Stacker # TH830 will fit the Cargo Loc Crossbars on your Nissan Rogue.

This depends somewhat on the width of your kayaks (in relation to the width of the NV3500's roof crossbars) but I would imagine there's enough space to work with on a larger vehicle like this. Do you already have a roof rack setup installed? If not, I would be happy to recommend a specific system to use with the Thule Stacker # TH830 if you can tell me its model year.

@JenW For your Chrysler Aspen the Malone # MPG216 is a really good crossbar option that gives you plenty of space for the kayaks. Then for the carrier itself I like the Thule Stacker # TH830, which can secure up to 4 kayaks on their sides.
