5th Wheel Hitch for 2016 Ram 2500 6-Foot Bed with Factory Rail Kit and Trailer with Sidewinder

I see that you cant use the Curt 16545 hitch with a sidewinder because of the movement of the head, but doesnt the BandW hitch have the same issue? Id like to use the Curt hitch if possible. What would my options be for the Ram prep kit and sidewinder?

Curt Q-Series 5th wheel hitches that fit your 2016 Ram 2500 6-foot bed with factory rail kit, like the 20K # C16530-16021 and the 24K # C16545-16021, are not compatible with Sidewinder (or Revolution) pin boxes.
The 25K-rated B&W 5th wheel hitch for your truck, part # BWRVK3600, does NOT have this restriction. You can drop this hitch right into your factory rails (as shown in the linked video) and hitch to your Sidewinder pin box. The B&W hitches that install in their gooseneck-type mounting kit, such as # BWRVK3500, cannot be used with a Sidewinder/Revolution pin box.
B&W 5th wheel hitch BWRVK3600 features substantial 1-inch-thick dual jaws for complete king pin contact and less rattle as well as pivot arms that provide 6-inches of front-to-back adjustment for improved cab clearance.
For a 5th wheel wiring harness you can use part # PK11893-11932 from Pollak. This plugs in at your existing 7-way (which remains active) and provides you with a 7-way for the trailer in the truck bed. An install video is linked for you.
